For the 48th time seca, the world leader in medical measuring systems and scales, unveils its latest innovations in medical measuring and weighing at MEDICA in Hall 12, Stand A63. The special highlight this year is the seca medical Vital Signs Analyzer (mVSA), the world's first spot-check monitor for integrated BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) and vital signs measurement. The seca mVSA adds another innovation to the portfolio of precision measuring devices that provide ad hoc assessment of the patient's state of health and nutritional status.

100 experts from the fields of medical technology and hospital management met last Thursday for the third Hamburg medical technology symposium HAMEK hosted by seca, the market leader in medical measuring systems and scales. The combination of high-profile lectures, the accompanying specialized exhibition, and a practical look behind the curtains of seca make it a one-of-a-kind event. Both the tickets for the event as well as the places for the exhibitors were all taken within a short time.

seca is pleased to receive yet another award. The Good Design Award is one of the most desired design awards with one of the longest traditions. The Chicago Athenaeum, an American architecture and design museum, honored the sophisticated product design of the mobile bioelectrical impedance analyzer seca mBCA 525. The prestigious award was previously given to the seca mBCA 515/514 and the seca 285/284 measuring station.

seca impressed the jury at this year's Comprix, the award ceremony for innovative healthcare
communication, with its label campaign for the compact seca mBCA 515 bioimpedance
analyzer! The expert jury honored the campaign with a Gold Award in the category of Medical
Products, and as a finalist in the categories of Digital Media, and Guerrilla Marketing. This
honor is a premiere and a confirmation in one. Our marketing measures were able to impress
the discerning jury even at our first participation in the renowned creative competition.

For the second time since 2013, seca, the world leader in medical measuring and weighing, participated in Hamburg's Best Employers competition and again earned a top spot in 2016. Employees in the competing companies were surveyed and their answers analyzed by IMWF (Institut für Management- und Wirtschaftsforschung). The award was initiated by Professor Werner Sarges of Helmut-Schmidt-Universität Hamburg in conjunction with media partners Hamburger Abendblatt, JCDecaux and alster radio 106,8.
